The Caral pyramids are older than the ones on Giza’s Plateau according to some academics. The mummies found in the Hebrides and Canary Islands have similar interment procedures to those in Peru. “A team of archaeologists, led by Dr Mike Parker Pearson of Sheffield University, has recently found the remains of what are believed to be two mummified Bronze Age bodies, buried under the floor of a prehistoric house at Cladh Hallan on the Hebridean Island of South Uist. The house in which the mummy skeletons were buried was part of a unique Bronze Age complex, which is as mysterious as the preserved corpses that were buried there.

The greatest invention in the classroom technology is the Interactive Whiteboard (IWB) (also called as smart board) which is easy to use and provides amazing ways to deliver interactive classrooms. When this is not used by computers connected it can simply be used as a traditional whiteboard. The only difference is the use of markers instead of the chalks. Most of the smart boards use connection though a USB cable however to eliminate the physical wires the wireless Bluetooth technology is used. There are different model available in the market. The Whiteboard could either have a external board or some models are available with inbuilt screens. The major advantage for both is the touch screen capability. Fingers can be used to navigate menus through the screen.

Right from the primary to the secondary school students can now deliver effective presentations by using the IWBs. Pictures, notes, drawings and even videos can be put together in a single presentation. Both teachers and students are getting greater opportunities to make the classrooms more and more interactive and interesting. The provision of storing files to a computer and sharing on a common server is an additional advantage of interactive whiteboard. To write new lessons on the traditional black boards with chalks it was necessary to erase the old data. However with the new technology the printouts of lessons taught in the past can be kept as notes.
